Dear 5th grade parents,
It was a privilege to sub for your children today. We enjoyed singing Hebrew songs with Michael. We learned about the effect of the Enlightenment and Emancipation on the Jewish societies of Western Europe, and how this led to the creation of Reform Judaism in America. We also read a short story about a founding father of American Reform Judaism, Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise.
Have a great week!
Best,
Daniel Virtheim
