Shalom, On Sunday, we reviewed the story of Hanukkah. Please ask your child to tell you some important points they learned about Hanukkah. Make sure they tell you why the holiday is so important to the Jewish people. We also reviewed the difference between a menorah and hanukkiah. We learned that the menorah has 7 branches while the hanukkiah has 8, to symbolize the oil in the menorah's holy temple lasting 8 days. Following snack, each child got to design their own hanukkiah. The drawings were so imaginative that I would love to see many of them in 3-D form at PASJE's annual Hanukkah celebration on Sunday, December 14th at 10am. Shavua tov,
