Dear PASJE parents:
On Sunday the 7th I got to substitute for Daniel in the 5th/6th grade class:
During the Jewish studies class, the students worked in groups on creating "Move to Palestine" immigration brochures and fliers, each representing a different Aliyah, or wave of immigration. We also read from the book Israel Matters on pages 55-57 about "Building a Jewish State" and page 64 about "Challenges to Immigration" to understand the context and background of the Aliyot. Then most of the students wrote down about five questions they have about Israel.
