Topic of the day: Hanukkah. Goals:
To review the story of Hanukkah.
To introduce the tradition of making latkes for Hanukkah in connection with the miracle of oil.
To create an opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience making latkes.
Project: Hanukkah collage: Latkes. Singing with Michael: Singing songs for Hanukkah. Suggestion for family activities: Ask your children about what kind of ingredients they used to make latkes? You can do an experiment and make latkes using sweet potatoes. Cooking is always fun. Shavuah Tov! L’Hitraout! Happy Hanukkah! Faithfully yours, Morah Natalya
