In the 5th & 6th grade class yesterday, we talked about Israeli Independence Day, a brief history of the events that led to the founding of the State of Israel. We talked about the meaning of Zionism and how the Independence Day holiday is celebrated in Israel. This is Israel’s 67th birthday. Please ask your student about this past Sunday’s discussion and what may have stood out to them.
Michael Schwartz, our music teacher, taught 5th/6th grade yesterday; after Mitzvah Day this Sunday, the 5th/6th grade teacher will be back for the final classes.
